SEO and digital strategy
I’ve worked in audience development for the last seven years, working with The Independent and The Guardian’s newsrooms to optimize their content. I’m involved at every stage of the process. I pitch and shape ideas, advise on content schedules, come up with headlines, and pull data to help editors make the best-informed decisions.

First Thing newsletter
I manage a team of five writers to produce The Guardian US’s morning briefing email, called First Thing. It is one of the fastest-growing Guardian US newsletters, and one of its most successful in generating reader revenue.

Data analysis
I have extensive experience in collecting and dissecting data in a way that can be easily understood by editors and reporters. At Guardian US I host a weekly traffic presentation for the newsroom, and run regular data catch ups with each desk.

Analytics
I’ve worked with several different tools throughout my career. I currently work with The Guardian’s in-house analytics system Ophan, which is one of the most innovative of its kind in terms of measuring engagement. I also use Crowdtangle every day to help find stories but also find ways to help the Guardian be distinct, and not do stories in the same way as everyone else.

Down to Earth newsletter
I edit The Guardian’s global weekly environment newsletter, Down to Earth. With over 250,000 subscribers, it is one of the newspaper’s biggest and most financially successful email offerings. Originally known as Green Light, I helped redesign and relaunch the newsletter in October.

Guardian US Instagram
I’ve managed the Guardian US’s Instagram page for the last four years and handled all curation and graphic design for its posts. Since joining its number of followers has grown from 15k to 275k.

Graphic design
I’ve designed all the social assets for the Guardian’s Instagram since 2018, and am highly proficient in Photoshop and Figma.
